Pistol Shrimp Reveal 2026 Schedule!
Peru, IL - The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp are ecstatic to announce their 2026 schedule as released by the Prospect League today!
The Pistol Shrimp are scheduled to play 56 total games in 2026, with an even 28 at home and 28 on the road. The home schedule includes 15 games in May and June and 13 in July and August.
The road schedule includes one week-long trip in June to visit the Johnstown (Pennsylvania) Mill Rats, the Champion City (Springfield, Ohio) Half Trax, and the Kokomo (Indiana) Creek Chubs. The road trip will mark the first-ever meeting with Champion City and Kokomo, and the Pistol Shrimp will also visit Decatur in June and July for the team's first matchup with the Prospect League's newest franchise.
The Prospect League season will open on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, and the Pistol Shrimp will be on the road facing the Clinton LumberKings. The Pistol Shrimp will debut at home on Wednesday, May 27th against the Quincy Doggy Paddlers, followed by two more home games on Thursday, May 28th and Friday, May 29th.
The Pistol Shrimp's final regular season home game will take place on Saturday, August 1st against the Clinton LumberKings. The Prospect League Playoffs open the following day with Division Championships on Sunday, August 2nd.
Pistol Shrimp home games at Schweickert Stadium at Veterans Memorial Park in Peru will begin at 6:35 PM starting this season. Sunday games and doubleheaders will begin at 4:35 PM.
