Pistol Shrimp Emerge from the Depths with Alternate Identity as the Radioactive Shrimp

PERU, Ill. – Green is the new orange in 2026, as the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp will transform into the Radioactive Shrimp for one glowing night during the 2026 season — lighting up Schweickert Stadium in Peru with the team's first alternate identity.

The deadliest creature in the sea has only added to its superpowers, as the viral sensation and the best logo in summer collegiate baseball have teamed up to create a radiant look just in time for Halloween and ready for the Pistol Shrimp's annual Halloween promotional night scheduled again for next season.

"We are always looking to have more fun and find new ways to elevate the experience for our fans," said Pistol Shrimp Assistant General Manager Lucas Burris. "Something special happens each summer when Halloween comes to Schweickert Stadium, and we believe this will only enhance our brand as baseball's leader for Halloween."

Radioactive Shrimp merchandise is available now for online ordering at shoppistolshrimpbaseball.com. Orders received from now until October 13th will be shipped in time to arrive for Halloween on the 31st.
