Week 2 Players of the Week presented by Are You Really Winning?

Peru, Ill. - The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp are proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 2 of the 2026 season presented by Are You Really Winning?

The Week 2 Hitter of the Week is Chase Roberts from Penn State University!

Roberts, a Medford Lakes, N.J. native, played in five games, hitting .294 (5-for-17) with five hits, including a home run, two runs batted in, two runs, two walks and three stolen bases. 

The Week 2 Pitcher of the Week is Brody Schulte from Minnesota State University!

In his Saturday start, Schulte (2-0) pitched seven and two thirds innings and recorded a 0.00 ERA with one hit, one walk and six strikeouts. The Kenosha, Wis. native earned his second win of the season against Normal on June 6.
